Love, loss, hope, fear, tension, connection — the range of experiences and emotions of human experience can all be linked, explored, and captured through art.

While the NCMA West Building is closed for renovation in 2022, the NCMA is continuing to support and promote artists and artisans from around the state at other locations. It is an honor to be one of the local artists featured in this retail shop!

It was an honor to speak to the North Raleigh Rotary Club as part of their local entrepreneur spotlight series this month! Through my presentation I shared my journey as an artist, how I embrace the mindset of community over competition when connecting with fellow emerging artists, and my experience in downtown Raleigh as a business owner with a community facing art studio.

This month launched the start of monthly Co-Create session for working artists in Raleigh and the surrounding area! Centered around creativity, networking and collaboration, these sessions will be open spaces to discuss all things art and art business with fellow working artists!

The creative process is anything but linear. In this studio update I share the progress of my sunrise series including personal life events that have effected my creative process, the meaning behind the marks that I am using to bring this series to life, and my vision for where I see this series going next.

After completing my Launch Raleigh Business Program in Fall 2021, I became eligible to participate in the 2022 Launch Raleigh Pitch Contest!

FRESH is a celebration of NC artists. With a new twist on our biennial fundraiser, FRESH not only includes both an open and a juried exhibition, but also live music as part of FRESH Sounds, FRESH Perspectives with panel discussions, roundtables, artist talks, and more, as well as programming for families with Artspace’s FRESH Family Day.

In November 2021 I gave an in-person artist talk presentation for a Campbell University Honors Course discussing the last 10 years of my creative development and influences. The first annual Healing Transitions Art of Recovery event left attendants with a new perspective on addiction and recovery. As an exhibiting artist at the event it was wonderful meeting so many new people and lifting each other up through positive energy, support, and breaking the stigma of addiction in our society!

311 Gallery, located in downtown Raleigh NC, curated work from Raleigh artists to explore Edge and Form. This group exhibition explores the future of Hard-Edge Abstraction featuring the work of Adriana Ameigh, Anna Payne, Rodgers Previtte, Jackie Sanders and Sterling Bowen.

ArtWorks Oriental is Oriental, NC’s newest art gallery and it is an honor to be featured in their newest gallery exhibition. This display includes work by 29 artists from across the United States working in 17 different mediums!

As 1 of the 20 small business owners selected to be part of the Launch Raleigh 2021 Class, I am excited to jump into this program and scale my business strategically in order to better serve my clients and the greater arts community.

The creative process is different for every artist. So what happens when a piece in progress is taken away from one artist and given to another to “finish”?

This question is explored in Artspace’s exhibition “Remix”, featuring collaborative artwork from 18 tenant artists.

The Garner Performing Arts Center is an intimate 471-seat auditorium located inside of the former Garner High School and is conveniently located in the Historic District of Downtown Garner.
