Rarely do we slow down long enough to see the beauty in the world, yet alone the magical shadows that exist in that moment. That is one of the coolest things about shadows— they are there one moment and gone the next.
That is why I am on a mission to slow the world down and encourage others to find beauty in the shadows.
As you sit and read your book in the sunshine, the shadows of the design card pulse in and out of focus as the sun peaks out from behind the clouds. The colorful shadows dance across the page as the bookmark transforms the page into a temporary art installation.
Reading in the sun has become one of my favorite ways to slow down when the world gets too busy and these cards make those moments even more special. What activity do you use to slow down and be present in the moment?
Transform Life’s Mundane Moments into Memorable Experiences
The motivation cards are the perfect, colorful reminder of just how powerful you are and the design cards are the great reminder of just how beautiful life can be!
Keep them for yourself or gift some to a friend to remind them of the inner strength and the beauty that they posses.
Use them as durable bookmarks to cast dynamic shadows across your page. Or hold them in your wallet as a colorful reminder of motivation throughout your day.

Touch Free Wellness Spa - Towson, MD.
In October 2020 I was approached by Touch Free Wellness Spa owner, Michael Dent, about creating custom signage for his new holistic wellness spa.
After seeing my Color Catcher designs, Dent was inspired to use the geometric style in his spa to reflect the cutting-edge technology of his services.
After many conversations and him sharing his vision of the space with me, I knew this collaboration would be the perfect fit based on our shared mission to help others become more connected with their minds and bodies through health and wellness.
Through this collaboration, Dent commissioned me to create designs for several elements within the space:
Spa Treatment Room Signage (Design and Production)
Wall Sconce Lighting Designs
Overhead Lighting Designs
Lobby Shadow Paintings (Original Artwork)

Spa Room Signage
Colorful shadows are cast behind the room signage to bring extra life into the hallway and make visitors more engaged with the space in which they are passing through.

In collaboration with Dent’s design team we curated color palettes to reflect the energy of each spa treatment room.
Unifying the lighting elements described below, the room signage incorporates geometric designs, transparent elements, and colorful shadows that energize the hallway.
Once the designs were finalized and I began the production process, Dent used the color palette of each sign as his source of inspiration when selecting the wall colors and overall aesthetic of each room.
Custom lighting was created using the Color Catcher series as the source of inspiration for the space. The designs are back-lit to fill the space with a glowing, meditative, magic as the visitor enjoys their holistic spa treatment.

Overhead & Wall Sconce Lighting
Previously established color catcher designs took new life in this space as they were customized to become illuminating wall sconces and overhead light installations. While the spa visitors enjoy their treatment, the color designs fill the room and provide a meditative experience.
I created the custom designs and Dent facilitated the production of these light elements with his building team. Images of these lighting elements are seen in the photos below.
Geometric Shadow Paintings
For visitors waiting for their treatment, colorful shadow paintings are displayed in the lobby to give them a taste of what awaits in each treatment room. As part of the Shadows Of Influence Series these shadow paintings bring the colorful experience full circle.
