Gateway Plaza Fence Installation

UV Printed Exterior Mesh Panels | 2409 Crabtree Blvd #126, Raleigh, NC 27604

This client came to me with a challenge: To transform an exterior patio fence into an energized, memorable experience. Durability is key, as the site sits at the top of a hill along a fence and takes the full force of North Carolina’s ever-changing weather.

Instead of forcing a traditional approach, we collaborated on a solution that actually fit their needs: Bold color, dynamic geometry, and a celebration of Raleigh’s downtown energy.

This project is evidence that not every project calls for paint… and that is where things get interesting!

Designed digitally and brought to life through flexible ink printing on mesh panels, this private commission felt like the perfect opportunity to expand what a “mural” can be by blending creative vision with technology to deliver something both impactful and built to last.

Because at the end of the day, for me, it is not about the method, it’s about creating something that works for the client, lasts in the space, and connects with others in our community.

Watch this project come to life here.

Gateway Plaza

“Gateway Plaza is a 1960s mid-century retrofit that transforms a once dated plaza into a hopping community hub where Raleighites come to play, eat and connect. The property maintains its mod charm through adaptive reuse for its locally-owned businesses. With space for makers of all kinds, this is where it’s all happening.

At the corner of Crabtree and Capital Boulevard, adjacent to Raleigh’s thriving Woodcrest neighborhood, Gateway offers 80,000-square-feet of retail and creative office space. Through its thoughtful redevelopment, Gateway Plaza represents a new model for breathing life into aging commercial spaces—one that honors its architectural roots while embracing modern design and purpose.”
